Lauren Baker Named Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach

Lauren Baker was named Assistant Coach for Air Force women's basketball, announced today by head coach Stacy McIntyre.
Baker joins the Academy after previous coaching stints at Temple College and The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
Baker most recently served with the Temple College women's basketball program during the spring of 2026. During her time at Temple, she led player development sessions, organized individual and team workouts, and assisted with recruiting through prospect identification and evaluation.
Her coaching career began at her alma mater, The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, during the 2025-26 season. She assisted in all aspects of player development, daily practice planning, opponent scouting, and film evaluation. Baker helped coach three All-American Southwest Conference selections, including conference Defensive Player of the Year Rachel Okoye.
A 2024 graduate of UMHB, Baker played two seasons for the Cru after transferring from Nelson University. She earned All-American Southwest Conference honors twice while also receiving All-Tournament Team and All-Academic recognition. Baker was a member of the 2021-22 team that captured the American Southwest Conference regular-season championship and advanced to the NCAA Division III Sweet 16. She later served as team captain during the 2023-24 season, helping lead the Cru to additional American Southwest Conference and NCAA Division III Tournament appearances.
Baker began her collegiate career at Nelson University, where she played from 2019-21. She later played professionally for Moghreb Athletic Tetouan in Morocco in 2025 before returning to UMHB to begin her coaching career.
