Senior running back Rocco Conti scored a seven-yard rushing touchdown to lift Air Force to a 36-33 win in double-overtime at Nevada in Mountain West action Saturday late-night at Mackay Stadium in Reno, Nevada. The win lifted the Falcons to 2-1, 1-1 MW and dropped the Wolf Pack to 1-3, 0-1 MW.

In a back-and-forth battle, it was Air Force that got the final score in the second overtime.

Air Force had rallied in the fourth quarter to take a 20-17 lead on a seven-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Liam Szarka to wide receiver Matt Long. The Falcons went up 10 points after an eight-yard TD run by Szarka.

Nevada rallied by scoring 10 points with 3:45 left in regulation to send the game into overtime at 27-27.

The two teams traded field goals in the opening overtime. Nevada was then held to a field goal in the second overtime after the Falcons made a key third-down stop and Nevada's fourth down conversion attempt was nullified by a snap-infraction penalty.

The Falcons had the ball second in the second overtime and proceeded to right down the field in five plays, capped by Conti's seven-yard run. It was Air Force's first overtime game and win since defeating Nevada 41-39 in triple-overtime in 2021.

Air Force racked up 363 yards on the ground and 92 through the air for 455 yards of total offense. Szarka and Conti both set career-high's for rushing yards, with Szarka churning out 171 yards on 33 carries and Conti running for 77 yards on 11 carries.

Szarka's high school teammate, tight end Simon Kibbee, led Air Force in receiving with two catches for 53 yards.

Defensively, linebackers Blake Fletcher and Dallas Daley led the team with 13 tackles for Fletcher and 10 for Daley. Defensive lineman Jaylin Reese recorded 1.5 sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss.

Kicker Carter Cremascoli was a perfect 3-for-3 on field goal attempts, hitting from 43, 33 and 28 yards.
