Air Force hits the road for a mid-week matchup with UC Davis on Wednesday. The teams are meeting for the eighth time in program history with the all-time series leveled at 2-2-3.
The last time the teams met was in 2019 when the Aggies won at home, 2-0. The Falcons are 0-2-1 when playing in Davis.
A LOOK AT AGGIES
UC Davis takes the pitch under the command of Dwayne Shaffer, the 17th-winningest active coach in NCAA Div. I soccer (269 career wins). Shaffer guided the Aggies to the NCAA Tournament as recently as 2024.
The Aggies, still in the hunt for their first win this season, have played a stout schedule so far this season including No. 1 Stanford and No. 11 Washington. They have played two common Air Force opponents in San Francison and Saint Mary's, both teams tying the Gaels at two. Like Air Force, they posted a 1-1 tie in their MW opener.

STACKING UP
AF freshman goalie Hunter Anderson leads the MW in saves per game (4.38), a mark that ranks him 31st in NCAA Div. I soccer. He has the second best save percentage (.778) and GAA (1.25) in the conference. His 35 saves this season is 36th most in the NCAA.
Air Force is second in the MW in shots per game (12.5), shots on goal per game (4.75), and team GAA (1.25).
UP NEXT
The Falcons return home to host UNLV in a Sunday afternoon MW match, October 4, at Cadet Soccer Stadium. Action is scheduled for 1pm. Air Force aims to redeem last season's two-nil loss in Las Vegas.
LAST TIME OUT
Air Force broke even in the conference opener against Utah Tech, tying the Trailblazers at one at Cadet Soccer Stadium.
After a scoreless first half, Utah Tech (1-6-2) was the first to strike (59') as Griffin Valladares fired one in past Hunter Anderson from 25 yards out. Less than 10 minutes later Menes Ajyeman fired off a shot that deflected off a UT defender straight into the possession of Logan Zaa who finished with the right foot to the left side of the frame. The goal marks two for Zaa this season.
The Falcons attempted 13 shots on the match, four shots coming on goal. Ajyeman and Tucker Kern took three shots apiece while Andrei Bulankou, Attila Toth, Xidane Espinoza, and Zaa accounted for the shots on target.
Doran Farrell and Bulankou were exceptional in their defensive efforts, clocking 90 minutes of action each. Freshman goalkeeper Hunter Anderson made a pair of athletic saves to keep the Falcons in the fight.
