JUNIOR YEAR |2020-21: Competed in four meets during an injury-shortened season…posted a time of 34.42 to win the 300-meter dash at the Air Force Holiday Open…that mark was just 0.05 shy of the program record…placed within the top half of the 200-meter field in outdoor debut at the Aztec Invitational at the Aztec Invitational (21.51).
SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2019-20: Clocked the second-fastest 60-meter dash in Academy history during collegiate debut at the Air Force Holiday Open...posted a time of 6.72 to win the 46-sprinter event by 0.12 seconds...that time also broke the program’s 22-year-old Sophomore Class Record and was the fastest time in the Mountain West during the 2020 season...also won the 300-meter dash at that meet, clocking a time of 34.51 to better the 35-runner field by 0.51 seconds...named the MW Track Athlete of the Week after that meet...posted the fastest 60-meter preliminary time at the Potts Invitational (6.81), but missed the remainder of the indoor season with injury.
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2018-19: Did not compete for the track and field team...member of the Air Force football team.
HIGH SCHOOL: Riverside Military Academy...member of the track and field team that won the 2018 Class 1A Private State Championships...served as captain of that squad...ranked as the seventh-fastest 100-meter sprinter in the state of Georgia during the 2018 spring season.
PERSONAL: Son of Charles and Vera Dimnwaobi...nickname is CJ...has four older sisters...majoring in management...future plans include working in the missile field...currently serving as a Force Protection Officer...likes to read Stephen King novels in spare time...would like to add that he is “honored to be a part of the Air Force track and field team. Every day I work harder than the previous day, so that I can become the best athlete, not just for myself, but so I can impact my teammates and lead by example. My team has a great deal of potential, so it has become a personal goal of mine to see that our potential does not go to waste”...volunteered at a homeless shelter in Colorado Springs over the summer...member of Cadet Squadron 26.
