JUNIOR YEAR | 2023-24: NCAA Qualifier in the 5000-meter run during the outdoor season…all-conference honoree in that event indoors…clocked the third-fastest 5000-meter time in Air Force Outdoor history (15:54.47) to placed third at the Bryan Clay Invitational…moved up to No. 5 on the program’s all-time standings for 3000 meters after clocking a 9:23.43 at the Windy City Invitational…used a 9:24.88 (adjusted for altitude) finish to score for the Falcons in that event at the Mountain West Indoor Championships (fifth)…finished third in the 5000-meter run at MW Indoors following a season-best time of 16:30.74a…competed in the 1500-meter run once, debuting at No. 24 on the program’s all-time standings with a 4:33.41a finish at the Colorado Invitational…also raced one mile event, entering the all-time standings at No. 25 with a 4:58.48 outing at the Ralph Lindeman Classic…led off the 4x1600-meter relay that combined for the third-fastest time in Air Force history (19:45.96) at the Drake Relays…also anchored the distance medley relay that posted the program’s sixth-fastest outdoor time (11:31.24) at that meet…received the team’s Callie Calhoun Award for Drive and Determination…academic all-conference.
SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2022-23: Received the team’s Gail Conway Outstanding Performance award, following a 15:51.39 performance in the 5000-meter run at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener…that is the third-fastest indoor time in program history and a new Air Force Sophomore Class Record…missed the majority of the season with injury…returned to competition at the Drake Relays, posting the third-fastest outdoor time in Academy history (16:10.65) to finish eighth in the Elite section…also raced in that event at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships…academic all-conference selection.
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2021-22: Improved the Academy’s Freshman Class Record in the 5000-meter run three times, finishing the year with the fifth-fastest outdoor time in program history (16:21.29)…clocked that time during a seventh-place performance at the Drake Relays…first broke the Class Record at the Mountain West Indoor Championships, recording an indoor-best 16:38.36 (adjusted for altitude)…that is the sixth-fastest indoor time in Air Force history …lowered Class Record to 16:27.02 during outdoor debut at the Stanford Invitational, before making the third improvement at Drake…scored for Air Force in that event at the MW Outdoor Championships (seventh, 16:24.51)…also accounted for the eighth-fastest 3000-meter time in program history (9:36.23a) at the indoor conference championships…ran the third leg of the 4x1600-meter relay that posted the third-fastest time in Air Force history (19:47.50) to finish fifth at the Drake Relays.
MAJOR CROSS COUNTRY HIGHLIGHTS: Two-time NCAA Qualifier (2022, 2023)…also claimed all-region and first-team all-conference honors both years…recorded the second-highest finish in program history at the 2023 Mountain West Championships (third)…named the Mountain West Freshman of the Year after placing 15th at the 2021 MW Championships…became the first Air Force female to earn that award.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lexington High School…member of four Ohio Division II state championship teams…six-time all-state selection (three in cross country, three in indoor track and field)…earned a top-10 finish (ninth) in the 3200-meter run at the Ohio Division II High School State Championships…placed fourth in the 1600-meter run at the 2020 OATCCC Indoor State Championship Meet…maintained a 4.0 GPA…ranked within Top 5 of graduating class.
PERSONAL: Full name is Halle Lanae Hamilton…daughter of Sam and Amy Hamilton…step-daughter of Matthew Miller…has three sisters (one older, two younger)…majoring in geospatial science…earning a minor in nuclear weapons and strategy…loves to watch movies…member of Cadet Squadron 17.
