AIR FORCE HIGHLIGHTS

Mountain West Champion, Indoor High Jump (2022)

FRESHMAN YEAR | 2021-22: Mountain West champion in the indoor high jump…became the seventh Falcon to clear seven feet with a career-best height of 7’0¼” in the win…led Air Force to four of the top-five finishes and 25 total points at the conference meet…all-MW honoree…debuted on the program’s Top 10 during first collegiate meet…cleared a (then-best) 6’10¾” to win the Air Force Holiday Open…named the MW Field Athlete of the Week and MW Freshman of the Week following that meet…also won the Invitational at the Peak (6’9”) during the indoor season…recorded an outdoor-best clearance of 6’8” during a winning effort at the Jack Christiansen Invitational…debuted at No. 22 on the Academy’s all-time standings with that jump…repeated as MW Field Athlete of the Week and Freshman of the Week after that meet…scored for the Falcons at the MW Outdoor Championships (fourth, 6’7”)…combined for 11 top-five finishes on the year

HIGH SCHOOL: Lakeside Lutheran High School…won the Wisconsin D2 high jump title during the indoor and outdoor seasons of sophomore year…finished second at the outdoor meet as a junior…two-time regional champion…two-time conference champion…set the school record with a clearance of 6’9”…all-state and all-area selection…four-time all-conference selection…also ran on the 4x100-meter relay that won a conference title…claimed six varsity letters (four in track and field, two in basketball)...two-year member of the high school choir…member of the National Honor Society…named to the Honor Roll…academic letterwinner.

PERSONAL: Son of Todd and LaRae Schulz…has one older sibling…majoring in management…future plans include working in missile operations…attended the Academy’s Prep School…named to the Dean’s List…hobbies include playing basketball, listening to country music, and watching Netflix…earned Jump Wings after completing Airmanship 490 (basic parachuting) over the summer…also completed Combat Survival Training…member of Cadet Squadron 06.
