JUNIOR YEAR | 2021-22: Competed in five different events during the indoor season and the pole vault during the outdoor season.
SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2020-21: Missed majority of the season with injury.
2018-20: Served a two-year mission trip in Taiwan.
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2017-18: Set the Air Force Freshmen Record in the heptathlon during a 4926-point performance at the Mountain West Indoor Championships...registered personal-best marks in the 60-meter dash (7.24), 1000-meter run (3:04.07) and shot put (36’8¼”) to finish fourth overall at that meet...also scored for the Falcons in the open pole vault (seventh) at the conference meet...first broke the program’s Freshman Class Record with 4861 points at the Air Force Combined Events Meet...posted career-best marks in the 60-meter hurdles (8.41), high jump (5’7”) and long jump (21’8”) at that meet...opened the season with a personal-best pole vault clearance of 16’6¾” at the Air Force Holiday Open...that height was ranked second on the team during the indoor season...scored for Air Force in the decathlon (fourth), 110-meter hurdles (seventh) and pole vault (seventh) at the MW Outdoor Championships...posted personal-best marks in eight of the ten decathlon events – 100-meter dash (11.27), 400-meter dash (51.35), 1500-meter run (4:52.29), 110-meter hurdles (15.08), long jump (21’10”), shot put (37’4”), discus throw (103’2”), javelin throw (125’11”) – to score a career-best 6447 points at that meet...recorded outdoor-best marks in the high jump (5’8½”) and pole vault (16’2¾”) during a fifth-place decathlon finish at the Jim Click Invitational.
HIGH SCHOOL: American Fork High School...won pole vault at the Utah 5A State Championships as a senior...won the decathlon as a junior to earn the title of "Utah's Greatest Athlete"...also finished second in the long jump that year...served as captain of the track and field team...also lettered in football and cheer...started the 5A state semifinal game for football...member of the cheer team that placed third at nationals...Eagle Scout.
PERSONAL: Full name is Justin Alan Harmon...son of Corwin and Jeana Harmon...both parents were involved in athletics at Brigham Young University (father was an invited walk-on to the football team, mother was a cheerleader and Cougarette)...has four siblings (one older, three younger)...majoring in systems engineering human factors...future plans include becoming a pilot or working in the intelligence field…served as Support Flight Chief...hobbies include snowboarding, skiing, wakeboarding and being outside...member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints...fluent in Mandarin Chinese...member of Cadet Squadron 06.
