SENIOR (2013): Team Captain.
JUNIOR (2012): Set Junior Class Records in both the heptathlon and pentathlon...recorded the second-best heptathlon total in program history (4,653) at the Mt. SAC/California Invitational Multi-Event Meet...also set the Academy record in the heptathlon high jump (5[apos]5¼') at that meet...tallied the third-highest pentathlon score (3,438) at the Air Force Indoor Combined Events Meet (AFICE)...made improvements to the Academy record book in the 100-meter hurdles, 60-meter hurdles and indoor high jump...clocked a career-best time of 14.91 in the 100-meter hurdles at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships...that is the 10th-fastest time in Academy history...it is the first incursion to the program[apos]s all-time list since 2006...became just the second Falcon since 2009 to impact the 60-meter hurdles list after clocking a career-best 9.04 at the AFICE meet...also matched career-best height of 5[apos]7' in the high jump at that meet...that mark is ranked fourth on the Academy[apos]s all-time list...first recorded that clearance at the season-opening Air Force Blue-Silver Open...won the long jump at the Colorado Invitational with a season-best distance of 17[apos]0½'...led the team in that event during the outdoor and indoor seasons...posted a career-best indoor mark of 17[apos]6¾' at the Falcons[apos] indoor combined meet...placed fifth in the pentathlon at the MW Indoor Championships with 3,318 points.
SOPHOMORE (2011): Set a Sophomore Class Record in the heptathlon with a 4,432-point performance at the Mt. SAC/California Invitational Multi-Event Meet...that score is the fifth-best total in Academy history...also recorded the fifth-best pentathlon total in program history at 3,190 points...accounted for that score in an eighth-place performance at the Mountain West Conference Indoor Championships...also posted the third-best outdoor (5[apos]6') and seventh-best indoor (5[apos]5') high jump clearances in Academy history...recorded a career-best outdoor mark of 5[apos]6' at the Front Range Classic to place second...cleared indoor mark of 5[apos]5' during pentathlon performance at the New Mexico Classic...posted career-best pentathlon marks in the 800-meter run (2:44.85, adjusted for altitude), 60-meter hurdles (9.46) and shot put (30[apos]10½') at the indoor conference meet...time in the hurdles was the best on the team...also led the team in the indoor long jump with a mark of 16[apos]10' from the Air Force Invitational...tallied career-best heptathlon marks in the 800-meter run (2:35.67), 100-meter hurdles (15.61) and long jump (16[apos]10¾') at the Mt. SAC/California Invitational Multi-Event Meet.
FRESHMAN (2010): Recorded the eighth-best heptathlon total in Academy history with 4,126 points at the Mountain West Conference Championships...finished ninth in that meet...posted career-best marks in the 200-meter dash (27.30), 100-meter hurdles (15.85) and javelin throw (102[apos]3') at that meet...also competed in the high jump at the conference meet...cleared a personal-best 5[apos]2¼' at that meet...scored 4,017 points in heptathlon debut at the Mt. SAC/California Invitational Combined Events Meet...placed eighth in the high jump at the Military Championships with a height of 5[apos]1'...earned the same placement and same height at the Mason Spring Open...competed in the 60-meter hurdles (9.84), high jump (5[apos]1') and long jump (15[apos]11½') at the Air Force All-Comers Meet.
HIGH SCHOOL: Los Lunas High School...New Mexico 5A-A state champion in the long jump (17[apos]4½') and triple jump (36[apos]4') as a senior...runner-up in the 300-meter hurdles (46.15)...led team to a fourth-place finish...also won state titles in the 100-meter hurdles (15.02) and high jump (5[apos]6¼') as a junior...placed 13th at the Great Southwest Classic in the heptathlon with 4004 points...also played soccer...named second-team all-district defender...academic letterwinner all four years...two-time academic all-district selection...member of the National Honor Society...member of the marching band...served as section leader...member of the symphonic wind ensemble and jazz band...served as vice-president of the student council.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Alfredo and Maria Torres...has one older brother, Lyle...majoring in behavioral science...future plans include working in the intelligence field or in the Office of Special Investigations...served as a Public Affairs Officer...named to the Commandant[apos]s List for excellence in military performance...also named to the Athletic Director[apos]s List for excellence in academic performance...spent a month in Ecuador over the summer as a part of the Cadet Summer Language Immersion Program...member of Cadet Squadron 36.
