JUNIOR YEAR | 2020-21: NCAA Qualifier in the high jump…debuted on the Academy Record Book in that event during both the indoor and outdoor seasons…posted the ninth-best indoor clearance in program history (6’11”) during a winning performance at the Wyoming Power Meet…also claimed first-place finishes at the Air Force Invitational and Air Force Collegiate Open during the indoor season…finished within the top five of all six indoor meets…debuted in a tie for 10th on the Academy’s all-time outdoor standings following a jump of 6’10¾” at the Aztec Invitational…won the Air Force Twilight Open…collected top-three finishes during five outdoor meets…scored for Air Force at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships (sixth, 6’7”)…earned the team’s Field Athlete of the Week award twice.
SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2019-20: Recorded a career-best high jump clearance of 6’9” to tie for third at the Mountain West Indoor Championships...all-conference honoree...competed in that event during seven meets, matching or improving personal-best clearance five times...named Mountain West Field Athlete of the Week after posting a (then) career-best of 6’7” to place second at the Potts Invitational...also accounted for top-three finishes at the Air Force Invitational (6’6¾”, second) and Air Force Team Challenge (6’8¾”, third).
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2018-19: Competed in the high jump during 10 meets (six indoor, four outdoor)...scored for the Falcons at the Mountain West Indoor Championships...recorded a career-best clearance of 6’7” during the outdoor season to finish sixth out of 31 jumpers at the Colorado Invitational...cleared an indoor-best height of 6’6¾” to finish fifth at the Air Force Team Challenge...tied for fifth at the MW Indoor Championships after clearing 6’5”.
HIGH SCHOOL: Snowflake High School...won the high jump at the Arizona D3 Championships in 2017...recorded a personal-best clearance of 6’9” as a senior...also competed on the soccer team...was the team’s top goal scorer (20).
PERSONAL: Full name is Jacob Ryan Hall...goes by Jake...son of Ryan and Amy Hall...has three younger brothers...majoring in computer science...future plans working in cyberspace operations...served as Assistant Flight Commander…named to the Dean’s List and Athletic Director’s List...hobbies include playing basketball and video games, cliff jumping and listening to music…served as an Element Leader for two sessions of Summer Seminar and completed a four-week internship developing a warehouse item search system for Tucson Electric Power Company over the summer…also “watched the Phoenix Suns sweep the Nuggets in Denver” and learned to wakeboard by getting pulled behind a Polaris RZR that was driving on the side of a pond…member of Cadet Squadron 06.
