Baseball Players, Parents and Friends:
Thank you for considering our great baseball camp at the beautiful United States Air Force Academy! There is nothing like playing baseball at 7000+ feet above sea level! It is exciting, motivating and well worth the effort to attend this summer's AF Baseball Camps.
AFA Baseball Field (Erdle Field)
Our Baseball Camp is broken up into 2 separate sessions. Session 1 is for the more experienced player ages 14-18. Session 2 is open to ages 8-13 and all skill levels for the fundamentals camp.
The AF Baseball Camp is a multi-faceted camp primarily focusing on techniques, skills and game situations. Our goal is to afford campers an opportunity to learn, practice and develop technical skills they can use on and off the baseball field. Because the emphasis is on teaching new skills, refining old ones and also teaching a solid baseball thought process with a passion for playing the game, we will end each day with live scrimmages.
The AF Baseball coaches and support staff positively emphasize the development of the total baseball player. We will provide a great deal of information to become a better baseball player. Our goal is for the camper to have fun while receiving a better understanding of the game of baseball and we are confident this can be accomplished with each camper.
Workout gear should include glove/bat, T-shirt, shorts, uniform pants/shirt, cleats, tennis court type shoes and running shoes. Optional equipment would include headgear, batting gloves, and sliding shorts.
Each day, camp runs from 8:30am-4:00pm with the exception of Friday which is a half day camp (ends at 12:00pm). Campers will be free to leave immediately following the scrimmage and ceremony by 12:00pm.
Again, thank you for considering this summer's AF Baseball Camp. We are confident it will be a rewarding experience for your young baseball player.
