2d LT Andrerw Daugherty

Assistant Coach

Second Lieutenant Andrew Daugherty graduated from the Air Force Academy in 2015 with a B.S. in management. He joins the fencing program as an assistant coach.

While fencing for the Academy, Daugherty fenced four seasons with the Falcons and was the team captain his senior year. In men’s epee, Daugherty competed in several Opens and NAC tournaments, as well as the 2014 Western Invitational, finishing with a .500 bout average; he also competed in the Brandeis Invitational.

Part of Daugherty’s philosophy is that athletes should work hard, be mentally strong, and be prepared to compete. He wants his fencers to care mostly about the success of the team and to help cultivate team chemistry.
