Mike Hall joined the Air Force Academy fencing program in 2013 as assistant coach for the Air Force Academy[apos]s men[apos]s and women[apos]s fencing teams. Prior to joining the Academy[apos]s fencing program, Hall was the head coach at the Texas Fencing Academy in Austin, Texas.
Hall coached former Academy All-Americans, Tim French and Peter French. While at the Academy Tim French won the 1998 Junior Olympics in men[apos]s epee and was a member of the U.S. Junior National Team and was the highest American finisher a the Junior Worlds in 1998. Younger brother Peter, was a four-year lettermen, All-American and the recipient of the Mountain West Conference Hal Rothman Sportsmanship Award and the NCAA Sportsmanship Award for 2007-08. Tim was also an assistant coach from 2009-2011.
In addition to The Air Force Academy, multiple fencers from Texas Fencing Academy went on to represent other NCAA Div 1 teams at Duke, Temple, and University of North Carolina.
Hall was a fencer at the University of Texas in Austin were he received his Bachelor[apos]s of Fine Arts degree in 1986.
