Dan Carson enters his fifth year as the Air Force offensive coordinator assistant coach in the 2020-21 season. In four seasons with the Falcons, Carson has been instrumental in guiding the Falcons to two regular season Southern Conference titles, highlighted by a SoCon tournament title and a visit to the NCAA tournament in the 2017.
Carson joined the Falcons by way of Princeton University where he worked with the face-off unit and assisted with all facets of the Princeton program's on and off field development.
While coaching for the Tigers, Carson worked closely with Princeton’s rising stars. First-team All-Ivy League selection Zach Currier and faceoff man Sam Bonafede, who earned an All-Ivy League selection honorable mention, both developed their game under the guidance of Carson.
Prior to his stint with Princeton, Carson helped Richmond lacrosse to a perfect regular season in their inaugural year in the Southern Conference. While at Richmond, Carson worked with the Spiders' face-off unit, helping it go from a .362 winning percentage in its first year in Division I in 2014 to within two won face-offs of .500 the year before. Carson also helped Richmond to the No. 2 scoring defense and man-down defense in Division I.
Before spending a year at Richmond, Carson was the head coach at Grove City College, where he was named the CCLA Division II Coach of the Year after an 11-5 record and a spot in the MCLA D-II quarterfinals in 2014. He has also coached at Ohio Valley University, where he earned his master's degree, and Yorktown High School in Virginia, the high school he attended.
Carson is a 2012 graduate of Marymount University, where he scored 63 goals and had 98 points as a four-year starting attackman in lacrosse while also lettering three times in swimming and serving as team captain for both sports. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in history.
