FRESHMAN YEAR | 2016: Competed on the still rings in three meets...scored a career-best 14.300 at Army West Point...also broke the 14-point barrier against California and Illinois (14.100)...competed on the pommel horse once. HIGH SCHOOL | CLUB TEAM: Nazareth Academy...competed at the club level for Aerial Gymnastics...coached by Tim O'Connell...placed fourth on the still rings at the 2014 Junior Olympic Nationals...finished eighth on that event at the 2013 meet...claimed the state and regional titles on the still rings in back-to-back years (2013, 2014). PERSONAL: Full name is Troy Thomas Mather...nickname is "Troyster"...son of Dr. Steven and Jennifer Mather...has three siblings...majoring in biology...future plans include becoming a flight surgeon...attended the Academy's Prep School...plays and writes music on the piano...favorite event is the still rings, because "I like to do strength"...member of Cadet Squadron 32.
