HIGH SCHOOL: Rio Rancho High School…state champion in the discus at the New Mexico 5A Championships as a senior, helping RRHS to the state’s team title…went undefeated in the discus that year…also placed third in the javelin at the state meet…ranked first in the metro-Albuquerque area…helped track and field team to the highest GPA as a team…recorded the second-farthest javelin throw in New Mexico as a junior…added a top-five finish in the discus throw year…did not start competing in track until her junior year…lettered in softball as a freshman and sophomore…also spent two years on the varsity powerlifting team…two-time state qualifier…won title in 2024, helping team to the state championship…named best overall lifter in New Mexico as a senior…named an Honor Student every year.
PERSONAL: Full name is Arianna Danielle Valenzuela…nickname is Ari…daughter of Daniel and Sara Valenzuela…has one younger sister…majoring in political science…earning a minor in Spanish…future plans include becoming a drone pilot…attended the Academy’s Prep School…received the Athletic Excellence pin every quarter…hobbies include heavy lifting, reading, cooking, and being a “professional napper”…enjoys watching the “Hangover” movies with her dad, listening to music with her sister, and cooking with her mom…has squatted 345 pounds, deadlifted 370 pounds, and benched 195 pounds…says her father has had the biggest influence on her coaching career…would like to add that she is “very blessed for this opportunity”…member of Cadet Squadron 02.
