HIGH SCHOOL: Wellington High School…two-time state champion in powerlifting…second-team all-league selection as a running back and linebacker in football…also claimed second-team all-league honors as a 198-pound wrestler…honored by the Rotary Club as a straight A student…received the Junior Lions Club award for demonstrating leadership and excellence in and out of the classroom…member of the National Honor Society…maintained a 4.0 GPA.
PERSONAL: Full name is Dustyn James Schettler…son of Kevin and Sonja Schettler…has one older sister, Jaycee, who was a member of the track and field team at the University of Nebraska Omaha…currently undecided on a major, but looking at management or geospatial science…future plans include becoming a C-17 pilot…enjoys playing video games, exercising, fishing, driving around and listening to music…also likes to bake cookies…double-jointed in back to make it look like he has wings…favorite quote is “obsessed is just a word the lazy use to describe the dedicated”…member of Cadet Squadron 01.
