JUNIOR YEAR | 2017 -- FRESHMAN YEAR | 2015: Did not compete for the Air Force track and field team...previously served as the Cadet-in-Charge of the Academy’s Marathon Team...finished 67th at the 2018 Boston Marathon (2:36:14).
HIGH SCHOOL: O’Fallon Township High School...earned all-conference and all-section honors in cross country and track (3200-meter run) as a senior...holds the school record in the 2000-meter steeplechase (6:50.65)...also competed on the swimming team for three years...earned all-conference honors in the 500 free as a senior...all-state honoree in academics.
PERSONAL: Son of AJ and Linda McMillan...both parents served in the Air Force (father served 27 years and retired as a colonel, mother served 15 years and retired as a major)...father wrestled at Arizona State University...has two older sisters, including one who is a 2017 Academy graduate...majoring in applied mathematics, with a concentration in nuclear physics...also earning minors in Russian and nuclear weapons/strategy...future plans include becoming a pilot or serving as a combat rescue officer...named to the Superintendent’s List for excellence in military, academic and athletic performance during five of six semesters...named to the Dean’s List and Athletic Director’s List all six semesters...currently serving as the Director of Operations for his squadron...served as squadron Superintendent in the Spring of 2018...enjoys making a ‘mean caramel latte’ in his room...hobbies include giving Mickey, Reese and Sam the sticks in Halo on Guardian and googling math memes to share...traveled to Osan AB, Korea, over the summer for Operation Air Force...also traveled to Daugavpils, Latvia, with the Academy’s Cadet Summer Language Immersion Program...currently taking eight classes as a senior and “enjoying every moment of it”...named Newcomer of the Year for the Air Force cross country team in 2018...member of Cadet Squadron 40.
