SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2023-24: NCAA Qualifier in the 10,000-meter run…clocked that fourth-fastest time in program history (33:43.06) during a runner-up performance at the Stanford Invitational…that time is also a new Air Force Sophomore Class Record…scored for the Falcons in both the 5000-meter (season-best 16:38.95, seventh) and 10,000-meter (35:31.00, eighth) events at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships…competed in two meets during the indoor season…posted a career-best 3000-meter time of 9:32.82 (adjusted for altitude) to finish seventh at the MW Indoor Championships and move into eighth on the Academy’s all-time standings…academic all-conference…MW Scholar-Athlete…earned Academic All-District honors by the College Sports Communicators…named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2022-23: Earned the team’s Newcomer of the Year award…set Air Force Freshman Class Records in both the 5000-meter and 10,000-meter events…became just the third all-conference honoree for the Falcons in the 10,000-meter run…clocked the sixth-fastest time in Academy history (34:16.66) to place third at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships and earn the program’s first podium finish in that event since 2017…also scored for Air Force in the 5000-meter run at the conference meet, clocking a career-best 16:19.46 to finish eighth…that is the sixth-fastest 5000-meter time in program history…also accounted for the Academy’s sixth-fastest indoor time at that distance, posting a career-best 16:32.76 at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational…first debuted on the Air Force Top 10 with a 10K finish of 34:53.73 (No. 8 all-time) at the Bryan Clay Invitational…registered the 22nd-fastest 1500-meter run in program history (4:32.83, adjusted for altitude) to finish third out of 52 runners in only appearance at the distance during the Don Caprioglio Early Bird Invitational…won the mile in collegiate debut at the Ralph Lindeman Invitational (5:05.65a)…ran on the 4x1600-meter relay that posted the third-fastest time in Academy history (19:46.58) during a fifth-place performance at the Drake Relays…academic all-conference selection…MW Scholar-Athlete.
HIGH SCHOOL: Souhegan High School…received the Coaches’ Award in both cross country and soccer…also earned the Souhegan Sportsmanship Award and Marine Scholastic Excellence Award.
PERSONAL: Full name is India Kathleen Jones…has a twin sister, Georgia, who was a member of the cross country and track teams at Army West Point, before graduating in 2024…majoring in biology and earning a minor in sustainability…named to the Dean’s List…serving as the White Rope SEL for Group 3…attended Norwich University during the 2021-22 academic year…Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) cross country champion…also received the league’s Rookie of the Year and Performer of the Year awards in cross country…traveled to Ramstein AFB, Germany, over the summer for Ops…also worked Support at the Academy during Basic Cadet Training…member of Cadet Squadron 22.
