HIGH SCHOOL: Faith Lutheran High School…state champion in the pole vault as a junior…also helped team to the state title that year…three-time all-state honoree…cleared 16’9” as a senior to rank 11th in the nation…served as team captain during junior and senior years…earned four varsity letters in track and field…competed on the varsity tennis team as a freshman, earning MVP honors…also competed on the varsity hockey team as a freshman and sophomore…ranked 30th in a graduating glass of 301…member of the school’s Flight Academy.

PERSONAL: Full name is James Paul Vogel, Jr…son of James and Lori Vogel…father served in the Air Force for 25 years, was a member of the Team USA ski team, and helped the University of Utah ski team to an NCAA title…has two sisters…majoring in aeronautical engineering…future plans include becoming a pilot…earned Private Pilot License…hobbies include flying, music, and rec sports (golf, pickleball, frisbee, climbing, skiing)…played guitar and drums at church and school events…loves country dancing (two-step and swing) and Zach Bryan…member of Cadet Squadron 12.
