JUNIOR YEAR | 2023-24: Broke own Air Force and Service Academy Record in the 60-meter dash…NCAA Qualifier in the 100-meter and 200-meter events…regional finalists for 200 meters…three-time all-conference honoree…set Air Force Junior Class Records in both the 60-meter and 100-meter events…posted the second-fastest 200-meter time in Air Force Outdoor history (20.63) during a runner-up finish at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships…also claimed silver medals at the conference meet in the 100-meter dash (season-best 10.27) and as the anchor of the 4x100-meter relay that posted the third-fastest time in Air Force history (40.02)…became the first Falcon to win the 100-meter dash at the Drake Relays (10.35)…clocked a winning 200-meter time of 20.92 to set a new Meet Record at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate…also picked up first-place finishes in the 200-meter dash at the Spank Blasing Invitational and Air Force Twilight Open...regional finalist in the 200-meter dash…lowered the Air Force 60-meter record to 6.66 at the Air Force Last Chance…scored for the Falcons in that event at the MW Indoor Championships (fourth, 6.73)…accounted for first-place finishes in the 60-meter dash at the Air Force Holiday Open and both rounds of competition at the Ralph Lindeman Classic…swept the sprint titles at the Air Force Holiday Open by winning the 200-meter dash in a season-best time of 21.41…received the program’s Bret Hyde Award for Drive and Determination.
SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2022-23: NCAA Qualifier and Mountain West champion in the 100-meter dash…three-time all-conference…set two Academy Records (60-meter dash, 100-meter dash)…two-time MW Track Athlete of the Week…earned the team’s Most Improved Award…clocked an Academy Record time of 10.25 to win the 100-meter dash at the MW Outdoor Championships…that mark is also a new Air Force Sophomore Class Record, a Veterans Memorial Stadium Record and the fastest 100-meter time ever by a service academy athlete…broke the program’s original standard of 10.43 twice at the Stanford Invitational – ran a 10.41 to finish second out of 40 runners in the prelims, before knocking time down to 10.34 during a runner-up finish in the finals…first debuted at No. 9 on the program’s all-time standings during a winning run of 10.55 at the Dan Caprioglio Early Bird Invitational…dropped time to 10.49 (No. 6 all-time) in a winning effort at the Spank Blasing Invitational…matched the fifth-fastest 200-meter time in Air Force history (20.99) to finish fourth at the conference meet…debuted on the program’s Top 10 during the preliminary round (21.19, No. 8 all-time)…won the Spank Blasing Invitational after clocking a wind-aided time of 21.11 (+3.5 m/s)…ran the third leg of the 4x100-meter relay that clocked the fourth-fastest time in Academy history (40.13) during a runner-up finish at the MW Outdoor Championships…led off winning relays at Pacific Coast Intercollegiate and Dan Caprioglio Early Bird Invitational…ran the third leg of the 4x1 that won the Air Force Twilight Open…became the fastest 60-meter sprinter in service academy history during an Academy Record run of 6.67 at the MW Indoor Championships…that time is also a new Air Force Sophomore Class Record…broke the class record two previous times, posting a 6.72 at the Texas Tech Open and a 6.71 at the Air Force Collegiate Open…both marks were (then) the No. 2 marks in Academy history…debuted at No. 3 on the program’s all-time standings in season-opener (6.73, Air Force Holiday Open)…accounted for the program’s fifth-fastest indoor time during a scoring finish at the conference meet (21.12, fifth)…first debuted at No. 7 on the program’s Top 10 after running 21.34 to finish third out of 42 runners at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational.
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2021-22: Competed in the 60-meter and 200-meter sprints during the indoor season…posted career-best times in both events (6.92, 22.18) during fourth-place finishes at the Air Force Collegiate Open…that 60-meter time ranked third on the team in 2022…did not compete during the outdoor season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Woodland High School…set school records in the 100-meter and 200-meter sprints…all-region honoree as a sophomore and junior…member of the 4x100-meter relay that qualified to the Georgia state championships…also played football…all-region selection as a junior…maintained a 3.95 GPA throughout high school…ranked with top 10-percent of graduating class.
PERSONAL: Full name is Javin Devon Bostic…nickname is JB…son of Jason and Latoya Bostic…father played football at Georgia Tech…has one older sister…majoring in history…future plans include becoming a voice actor…would like to add that “I’m excited to be able to be a part of something special” and “I’m here to make contributions”…member of Cadet Squadron 11.
