FRESHMAN YEAR | 2023-24: Competed in the 1500-meter run during three outdoor meets…clocked a career-best time of 3:55.52 (adjusted for altitude) at the Doug Max Invitational…clocked a 3:58.07a to finish seventh out of 25 runners in collegiate debut at the Colorado Invitational…did not compete during the indoor season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Alamo Heights High School…first member of the AHHS men’s team to qualify to the Texas state championships in the mile…also ran on the school’s first state-qualifying 4x400-meter relay…that relay also became the first to average a sub-50…member of the first Alamo Heights’ team to make consecutive state meet appearances in cross county…ran on the team that became the school’s first to qualify both a boys and girls team to the state championship…deleted 22 seconds from his 1600-meter time during his senior year, finishing with a 4:17 career best…avid band kid…primarily played quads in the drumline…member of the National Honor Society…ranked 80th out of 410 in graduating class.
PERSONAL: Full name is Joseph William White…son of William and Shelley White…father is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy…has two older brothers…majoring in biology…future plans include becoming a helicopter pilot…has a cousin who competed on the Navy cross country team…also has two cousins that attended the U.S. Military Academy…started a rock band called The Rovers in high school…would like to thank Kenny and Bobby for “making me so fast”…member of Cadet Squadron 37.
