JUNIOR YEAR | 2021-22: Did not compete.
SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2020-21: Won the 3000-meter run in only indoor appearance (10:29.31a, Air Force Invitational)…competed in the 5000-meter run once during the outdoor season.
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2019-20: Earned the program’s Newcomer of the Year award...competed in the two longest indoor distances during five meets...clocked a personal-best 3000-meter time 9:56.10 (adjusted for altitude) to finish 12th at the Colorado Invitational...posted a career-best 5000-meter time of 17:41.26 at the Iowa State Classic (13th).
HIGH SCHOOL: Big Sky High School...three-time all-state selection in track...finished third in the 800-meter run and fourth in the 1600-meter run at the 2018 state championships...member of the 4x400-meter relay team that finished sixth at the 2019 championship meet...nine-time all-conference honoree...named the Most Valuable Mid-Distance Runner three times...also earned the Most Valuable Distance Runner award once...set the school records in the 800-meter and 1600-meter events...finalist for the KPAX Student-Athlete of the Year award, as the BSHS girls’ selection...received the Distinguished Athlete award...12-time letterwinner (four letters each in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track)...eight-time all-state selection (four in cross country, four in track)...earned the Eagle Medallion award, which is given to outstanding seniors...named to the Honor Roll four times.
PERSONAL: Full name is Madison Alyse Edwards…goes by Maddie...daughter of Rob Edwards and Jill Brown...has an identical twin sister...also has a pair of younger twin siblings...majoring in behavioral science...future plans include working in aerospace physiology…has served as Operations Flight NCOIC and Element Leader...named to the Commandant’s List (once), Dean’s List (four times) and Athletic Director’s List (five times)...hobbies include hunting, fishing and hiking...aunt (Deb Davis) and uncle (Jon Davis) both graduated from the Academy in 1988...grandfather served in the Navy…served as a safety medical officer (SMO) during Basic Cadet Training over the summer…also served as cadre during Falcon Sports Camps…member of Cadet Squadron 03.
