JUNIOR YEAR | 2023-24: Claimed first all-conference honor in the outdoor pole vault after placing third at the Mountain West Championships (15’11¾”)…picked up four first-place finishes on the year, winning the UNM Team Open (15’7¼”) and Air Force Collegiate Classic (16’2¾”) during the indoor season and the Spank Blasing Invitational (15’9¾”) and Doug Max Invitational (16’2¼”) during the outdoor season…recorded a season-best clearance of 16’3¼” at the Windy City Invitational.
SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2022-23: Earned all-conference honors in the pole vault after finishing third at the Mountain West Indoor Championships…recorded a season-best clearance of 16’2¾” during the conference meet…also posted a top-five finish at the Ralph Lindeman Invitational (16’0¾”, fifth)…recorded an outdoor-best 15’7” in the elite section of the Stanford Invitational…collected a pair of top-three finishes during the outdoor season.
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2021-22: Claimed all-conference honors in the pole vault following a third-place finish at the Mountain West Indoor Championships…posted a career-best height of 16’4” to finish 13th out of 40 vaulters at the Don Kirby Invitational…also cleared the 16-foot bar at the Air Force Invitational and during a winning effort at the Invitational at the Peak meet…posted matching heights of 16’0¾” at both meets…named MW Freshman of the Week after finishing third at the Potts Invitational (15’11”)…added a third-place vault of 15’9” at the conference meet, helping Air Force to four of the top-six scoring finishes…also competed in the pole vault during eight outdoor meets…cleared an outdoor-best 15’5” at the Jim Click Shootout.
HIGH SCHOOL: Bridgeland High School…set school and district records in the pole vault with a clearance of 16’6”...that clearance equaled the 13th-best vault in the nation by a high school senior in 2021…finished third in the Texas UIL High School State Championships as a senior…three-time Junior Olympian.
PERSONAL: Son of Will and Robyn Postell…has one older brother and one younger sister…nickname is Rob…majoring in business management…currently serving as a Readiness Flight Chief…hobbies include playing video games…completed Operation Air Force over the summer…flew in a T-38 and learned dogfighting fundamentals while on Ops…also served as cadre during Basic Cadet Training…member of Cadet Squadron 12.
