SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2021-22: Competed in the 1500-meter run during two outdoor meets…clocked a season-best time of 3:54.64 (adjusted for altitude) at the Air Force Twilight Open…participated in the 5000-meter run once, posting a time of 14:17.61 to finish seventh out of 89 runners at the APU Last Chance meet…did not race during the indoor season.

FRESHMAN YEAR | 2020-21: Set the Freshman Class Record at 10,000 meters after clocking a 29:58.78 at the West Coast Relays…also competed in 1500- and 5000-meter races during the outdoor season...posted a career-best 5000-meter time of 14:17.34 at the West Coast Classic...ran a personal-best 3:53.60 (adjusted for altitude) to finish second in the 1500-meter run at the Air Force Twilight Open…competed in the mile and 3000-meter run during the indoor season…used career-best times to place within the top five of those events at the Air Force Collegiate Open (fourth, 4:17.52a) and Championships at the Peak (fifth, 8:26.32a).

HIGH SCHOOL: Kamiakin High School...finished third in the Washington High School State Cross Country Championships as a senior...also collected a pair of third-place finishes in the 3200-meter run at the state’s 3A track championships...named to the Honor Roll seven times.

PERSONAL: Son of Scott and Viola Child...nickname is “Saggs”…has one brother...majoring in management...future career plans include becoming a combat rescue officer or a tactical air control party officer…named to the Athletic Director’s List...attended the Academy’s Prep School...earned an Athletic rope...member of Cadet Squadron 12.
