NCAA Qualifier, 1500-Meter Run (2025)

FRESHMAN YEAR | 2024-25: NCAA Qualifier in the 1500-meter run…set Air Force Freshman Class Records in three events (1500-meter run, 3000-meter run, 5000-meter run)…recorded the sixth-fastest 1500-meter time in Academy history (3:42.06, adjusted for altitude) during a winning performance at the Air Force Twilight Open…named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week after that meet…first debuted at No. 10 on the program’s all-time standings with a 3:43.90a outing at that Doug Mac Invitational…competed in the 5000-meter run during three outdoor meets…won the Stanford Invitational with a personal-best time of 13:54.37…that is the 16th-fastest outdoor time in Academy history…also accounted for the program’s 16th-fastest time in the 3000-meter run during the indoor season, running an 8:02.26 at the Husky Classic…ran the opening leg of the distance medley that finished sixth at the MW Indoor Championships and produced the 24th-fastest time in Academy history (9:57.79a).

HIGH SCHOOL: Olentangy Orange High School…three-time OHSAA all-state honoree in the 3200-meter run…also ran on two 4x800-meter relays that captured all-state honors…regional champion at 3200 meters as a senior...member of the 4x800-meter relay that claimed the regional title as a sophomore…earned four varsity letters…high school career-bests include a 1:56 for 800 meters, 4:12 for 1600 meters, and 9:05 for 3200 meters.

PERSONAL: Full name is Saketh Surya Varma Rudraraju…nickname is “Unc”…son of Surya and Vijaya Rudraraju…has one younger brother…majoring in electrical and computer engineering…named to the Athletic Director’s List…completed Combat Survival Training and Powered Flight over the summer…member of Cadet Squadron 19.
