FRESHMAN YEAR | 2023-24: Competed in the 1500-meter run five times…clocked a career-best time of 4:52.58 (adjusted for altitude) at the Doug Max Invitational…competed in the mile twice during the indoor season…posted a personal-best time of 5:32.78 in collegiate debut at the Colorado Invitational.
HIGH SCHOOL: Louden Valley High School…earned all-state, all-region, and all-district honors in cross country during every competitive season (missed sophomore year due to pandemic cancellation)…member of the team that finished 10th at the 2019 Nike XC Nationals…earned All-South Region honors after finishing 26th at the Footlocker/East Bay South XC Regionals as a junior…earned first-team All-Met honors in cross country by the Washington Post…two-time first-team All-RunWashington selection…two-time first-team All Lo-Co honoree in outdoor track…captured all-state, all-region, and all-district honors in the 3200-meter and 1600-meter events at the Virginia 4A state indoor and outdoor championships as a junior…two-time Top 25 finisher in the two-mile run at the New Balance Indoor Track Nationals…member of the National Honor Society…served as Service Chair as a senior…AP Scholar, with Honors…graduated with a 4.3 GPA…worked on the school’s SAGA Yearbook that was awarded a “Trophy Class” national ranking…also worked on the school newspaper (Viking News) that was awarded the First Amendment Freedom Press Award.
PERSONAL: Full name is Scarlet Isabelle Fetterolf…daughter of Andrew and Mary Beth Fetterolf…father served as an officer in the Marine Corps for seven years…mother competed in both track and cross country at Bucknell University…has four siblings (one brother, three sisters)…older sister, Ricky, is a junior on the Falcons’ cross country team…currently undeclared on a major…earning a minor in French…serving as squadron’s PEER…was a dancer from ages 5-14, and only stopped dancing to try out running…earned Jump Wings over the summer after completing five solo freefall skydives in Airmanship 490 (“easily one of the coolest things I’ve ever done”)…also participated in Combat Survival Training and took a statistics class…member of Cadet Squadron 33.
