JUNIOR YEAR | 2019-20: Earned all-conference honors as the anchor of the distance medley relay that finished second at the Mountain West Indoor Championships (9:49.02, adjusted for altitude)...also scored for the Falcons in the mile at that meet (4:09.85a, sixth)...opened the season with a victory in the mile at the Air Force Invitational (4:08.39a)...named Mountain West Track Athlete of the Week following that meet...posted a season-best time of 4:07.69a to finish sixth in the Elite section of the Colorado Invitational...academic all-conference selection...MW Scholar-Athlete.

SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2018-19: All-conference selection in the mile...ran on two relay teams that impacted the Academy’s all-time standings during the outdoor season....finished third in the mile at the Mountain West Indoor Championships after crossing the finish line in 4:07.40 (adjusted for altitude)...clocked a career-best time of 4:05.86a during a fifth-place finish in the Elite Division of the Colorado Invitational...led the team at 1500 meters during the outdoor season...clocked a season-best time of 3:47.80 at the Bryan Clay Invitational (Elite Division)...picked up third-place finishes at the Stanford Invitational (3:54.60) and Air Force Twilight Open (3:49.62a)...led of the 4x1600-meter relay that accounted for the second-fastest time in Academy history (16:40.31) at the Drake Relays...also anchored the 4x800-meter relay that clocked the program’s third-fastest time (7:30.15) at that meet...academic all-conference selection...MW Scholar-Athlete.

FRESHMAN YEAR | 2017-18: Ran on the 4x1600-meter relay that posted the second-fastest time in Academy history (16:49.97) to win the Drake Relays...competed in the 1500-meter run during five outdoor meets...ranked second on the team in that event...clocked a career-best time of 3:47.45 (adjusted for altitude) to take second at the Air Force Twilight Open...added top-five finishes at the Sun Angel Classic (3:59.33, fourth) and Jerry Quiller Classic (3:52.79a, fifth)...competed in the mile during three indoor meets...posted a personal-best time of 4:11.72 (adjusted for altitude) to finish third at the Air Force Collegiate Open...also placed third in that event at the Air Force Invitational (4:15.41a)...academic all-conference selection...MW Scholar-Athlete.

PERSONAL: Full name is Scott Andrew Johnson...nickname is “Bambi”...son of Steve and Joy Johnson...has one younger brother, Ryan, who is a sophomore on Air Force’s track and cross country teams...majoring in operations research...also earning a minor in French...future plans include serving as an intelligence officer in the Air Force...serving as Operations Flight Commander during the Fall 2020 semester...named to the Superintendent’s List for excellence in military, academic and athletic performance during each of his first six semesters at the Academy...hobbies include playing with crawdads, tailgating for the annual Puppy Bowl, listening to Christmas music all year round and finding the answer to the question, “what is life?”...huge fan of Joey “Jaws” Chestnut...completed an online academic class (History 300) over the summer...has wanted to attend the Air Force Academy since he was six years old...member of Cadet Squadron 04.
