JUNIOR YEAR | 2019-20: Earned all-conference honors as the anchor of the distance medley relay that finished second at the Mountain West Indoor Championships (9:49.02, adjusted for altitude)...also scored for the Falcons in the mile at that meet (4:09.85a, sixth)...opened the season with a victory in the mile at the Air Force Invitational (4:08.39a)...named Mountain West Track Athlete of the Week following that meet...posted a season-best time of 4:07.69a to finish sixth in the Elite section of the Colorado Invitational...academic all-conference selection...MW Scholar-Athlete.

PERSONAL: Full name is Scott Andrew Johnson...nickname is “Bambi”...son of Steve and Joy Johnson...has one younger brother, Ryan, who is a sophomore on Air Force’s track and cross country teams...majoring in operations research...also earning a minor in French...future plans include serving as an intelligence officer in the Air Force...serving as Operations Flight Commander during the Fall 2020 semester...named to the Superintendent’s List for excellence in military, academic and athletic performance during each of his first six semesters at the Academy...hobbies include playing with crawdads, tailgating for the annual Puppy Bowl, listening to Christmas music all year round and finding the answer to the question, “what is life?”...huge fan of Joey “Jaws” Chestnut...completed an online academic class (History 300) over the summer...has wanted to attend the Air Force Academy since he was six years old...member of Cadet Squadron 04.
