SENIOR YEAR | 2018-19: Team captain.

FRESHMAN YEAR | 2015-16: Competed on two all-conference relay teams during the indoor season...ran the second leg of the 4x400-meter relay that finished second at the Mountain West Indoor Championships...quartet’s time of 3:11.78 was the third-fastest time in Academy history and the fifth-fastest time in Mountain West history...also ran the second leg of the distance medley relay that finished third at the conference meet (9:42.94)...competed in the 400-meter dash during seven indoor meets...clocked a career-best time of 48.61 at the MW Championships...that time was ranked second on the team in 2016...won that event at the Air Force Open (50.47)...participated in four 200-meter races...clocked a personal-best time of 22.40 at the Air Force Team Challenge...finished third in the 500-meter dash at the Air Force Holiday Open (1:06.21)...competed in the 400-meter dash during three outdoor meets...posted a career-best time of 48.48 at the Michael Johnson Classic.
HIGH SCHOOL: North Canyon High School...recorded a career-best time of 48.11 to finish second in the 400-meter dash at the Arizona Meet of Champions...finished fifth in that distance at the Arizona DI state championships...also earned varsity letters in football and basketball...received the Phoenix Chapter’s Arizona Student-Athlete of the Year award.
PERSONAL: Son of Bill and Sophia Walden...has two siblings...majoring in management...future plans include becoming a pilot...served as Flight Commander in the fall of 2018...named the Most Outstanding Cadet Second Class (C2C) for Cadet Group 3...awarded the Commandant’s Pin after 2015 Basic Cadet Training for being the best Basic in his flight...one of just five freshmen to record a perfect 500 on the Physical Fitness Test during the fall semester of 2015...attended the Academy’s Prep School...received the Outstanding Male Cadet Candidate in Fitness award...also recorded a perfect 500 on the PFT at the prep school...started the AF Prep Running Club, in coordination with an instructor, to help Cadet Candidates get involved in running for sport...two family members played football at the collegiate level, as father played at Arizona State University and brother played at Quincy University...grandfather served as a Marine...served as the Director of Operations for a squadron during the first session of Basic Cadet Training in the summer of 2018...also took an academic class in Geopolitics and worked Falcon Sports Camps...member of Cadet Squadron 22.
