SENIOR YEAR | 2018-19: Team captain.

JUNIOR YEAR | 2017-18: Led off the 4x400-meter relay teams that captured Mountain West titles during the indoor and outdoor seasons...NCAA qualifier as a member of the outdoor relay...three-time all-conference selection...ran the second leg of the relay that broke the Academy’s indoor record at the Texas Tech Shootout (3:09.18)...that mark is also the third-fastest time in Mountain West history...led off the team that won the MW Indoor Championships (3:10.99) by more than three seconds...ran the opening leg of the outdoor relays that clocked the second-fastest time in Air Force history (3:07.33) at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays and won the conference title at the MW Outdoor Championships (3:10.00)...also ran on the 4x400-meter relay that earned a top-20 finish (18th) at the NCAA West Preliminary (3:08.06)...also ran the third leg of the 4x100-meter relay that placed second at the conference meet (40.87)...competed in the 400-meter dash during six meets (three indoor, three outdoor)...clocked a season-best outdoor time of 46.96 to finish third at the Sun Angel Classic...earned runner-up honors at the MW Outdoor Championships after clocking a time of 47.22...posted a season-best indoor time of 48.81 to take second at the Colorado Invitational...scored for Air Force at the MW Indoor Championships after posting a fourth-place time of 48.30...finished second in the 300-meter dash (34.48) at the Air Force Holiday Open...competed in the 200-meter dash once outdoors, winning the Jerry Quiller Classic with a wind-aided time of 21.65...earned the program’s Bret Hyde Award for Drive and Determination.

SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2016-17: Mountain West outdoor champion in the 400-meter dash...member of two record-setting relay teams...qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 400-meter dash and as a member of the 4x400-meter relay...earned Honorable Mention All-America honors after advancing to the national semifinals in both events...two-time all-conference honoree...clocked the second-fastest 400-meter time in Academy history (45.81) to finish 12th at the NCAA West Preliminary and advance to the national meet...first debuted on the program’s all-time standings with a winning mark of 46.49 at the Johnson/Joyner Kersee Invitational...named the Mountain West Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week after that meet...improved time to 46.21 at the MW Outdoor Championships...registered the fourth-best time in Championship Meet history to claim the conference title...led off the 4x400-meter relay that clocked an Academy-best time of 3:05.92 at that meet...that time broke an Air Force record that had stood since 1966...ran the opening leg of the relay that finished ninth at the West Prelim (3:05.98) to advance to the national meet...ran on the 4x200-meter relay that won the Drake Relays with a program-best time of 1:23.14...added another program-best relay time during the indoor season...ran the opening leg of the 4x400-meter relay that set an Academy record time of 3:09.26 at the Tyson Invitational...clocked an indoor-best 400-meter time of 47.77 at the MW Championships to debut in ninth on the program’s all-time list...scored for the Falcons in that event after placing fifth...received the team’s Track Athlete of the Week award twice...also earned the team’s Most Improved Award.

FRESHMAN YEAR | 2015-16: Competed on two all-conference relay teams during the indoor season...ran the second leg of the 4x400-meter relay that finished second at the Mountain West Indoor Championships...quartet’s time of 3:11.78 was the third-fastest time in Academy history and the fifth-fastest time in Mountain West history...also ran the second leg of the distance medley relay that finished third at the conference meet (9:42.94)...competed in the 400-meter dash during seven indoor meets...clocked a career-best time of 48.61 at the MW Championships...that time was ranked second on the team in 2016...won that event at the Air Force Open (50.47)...participated in four 200-meter races...clocked a personal-best time of 22.40 at the Air Force Team Challenge...finished third in the 500-meter dash at the Air Force Holiday Open (1:06.21)...competed in the 400-meter dash during three outdoor meets...posted a career-best time of 48.48 at the Michael Johnson Classic.

HIGH SCHOOL: North Canyon High School...recorded a career-best time of 48.11 to finish second in the 400-meter dash at the Arizona Meet of Champions...finished fifth in that distance at the Arizona DI state championships...also earned varsity letters in football and basketball...received the Phoenix Chapter’s Arizona Student-Athlete of the Year award.

PERSONAL: Son of Bill and Sophia Walden...has two siblings...majoring in management...future plans include becoming a pilot...served as Flight Commander in the fall of 2018...named the Most Outstanding Cadet Second Class (C2C) for Cadet Group 3...awarded the Commandant’s Pin after 2015 Basic Cadet Training for being the best Basic in his flight...one of just five freshmen to record a perfect 500 on the Physical Fitness Test during the fall semester of 2015...attended the Academy’s Prep School...received the Outstanding Male Cadet Candidate in Fitness award...also recorded a perfect 500 on the PFT at the prep school...started the AF Prep Running Club, in coordination with an instructor, to help Cadet Candidates get involved in running for sport...two family members played football at the collegiate level, as father played at Arizona State University and brother played at Quincy University...grandfather served as a Marine...served as the Director of Operations for a squadron during the first session of Basic Cadet Training in the summer of 2018...also took an academic class in Geopolitics and worked Falcon Sports Camps...member of Cadet Squadron 22.
