Former Air Force distance runner 1Lt AJ Kedge returned to the Academy staff in 2024 as a recruiting coordinator for the Falcons’ track & field and cross country program. In addition to directing the program’s nationwide recruiting efforts, Kedge, who spent the 2023 season as a volunteer coach at Air Force, also assists the staff in the distance and middle distance events.

During his time on the Falcons’ staff, Kedge has helped Air Force to four Mountain West titles, a top-10 finish at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, and four NCAA All-America honors.

A native of Albuquerque, N.M., Kedge spent four years as a distance runner for the Falcons’ program. As senior, he ran on the cross country team that captured the Mountain West title and debuted on the program’s Top 25 standings in both the mile and 5000-meter events.

Kedge, who graduated from the Academy in 2022 with a degree in management, earned a master’s degree in sports management from Liberty University in 2025. He is currently a first lieutenant in the Air Force and serves as an acquisitions officer at Hanscom AFB in Massachusetts. In 2024, Kedge was named the Air Force Cyber and Networking Company Grade Officer of the Year.
