5/2/2026 7:27:00 PM | Track and Field
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Highlighted by an Academy Record in the 1500-meter run from junior Dominykas Remeikis, the track and field team made 16 improvements to the Air Force Top 10 – and 12 additional updates to the program's full record book this afternoon (May 2), as the Falcons wrapped up an impressive day of competition at the Doug Max Invitational in Fort Collins.
Remeikis used an altitude-adjusted time of 3:39.43 to take 0.25 seconds off the program standard – and Junior Class Record – that Sean Maison had held since 2023. His winning raw time of 3:44.50 was impressive on its own, as it broke the Meet and Stadium Records at Jack Christiansen Track.
Remeikis led Air Force to a sweep of the top-five finishes in the 30-man race, while the top six Falcons finished within the top eight and accounted for Air Force Top 15 times. Senior Ben Scheller and sophomore Saketh Rudraraju, who also bettered the previous meet and stadium records, reset their respective Air Force Class Records while finishing second (3:45.10) and third (3:45.10), respectively, in the meet. Scheller dipped below Maison's previous record to account for the second-fastest time in Academy history (3:39.67, adjusted for altitude), while Rudraraju moved up to No. 4 all-time behind a 3:40.01a finish. Sophomore Patrick Allen added an Air Force Top 10 time of 3:42.10a (No. 9) to finish fourth (3:47.23), while freshman Christopher Creedon debuted at No. 11 (3:42.41a) with a fifth-place time of 3:47.55 and junior Joseph White entered the record book at No. 14 following a 3:43.73a finish (3:48.90, eighth).
Not to be outdone, the women's 1500-meter lineup also rewrote the program's all-time standings – headlined by an event title from Anna Harden. The junior, who won the 35-runner event in a Meet Record time of 4:22.60, jumped up to No. 3 at Air Force with an altitude-adjusted mark of 4:16.67 – a time that also reset the program's one-week-old Junior Class Record. Classmate Rachel Fereday finished second to Harden (4:23.43 raw) and accounted for the fourth-fastest time in Air Force history (4:17.48a), while fellow junior Scarlet Fetterolf moved up to No. 8 at Air Force after finishing at 4:23.82a. Fereday also lowered her Air Force No. 8 all-time mark for 800 meters with a 2:09.17 (adjusted for altitude) outing.
Zachary DeWalt had a stellar afternoon on the track, winning the 200-meter dash in a Meet Record time of 20.88 and accounting for the fourth-fastest 400-meter dash in Academy history – a 46.35 runner-up finish that knocked 0.55 seconds off a Freshman Class Record that Air Force Hall of Famer Alonzo Baber had held since 1980. DeWalt was one of two Air Force freshmen to place within the top four of the 200-meter race, as classmate Austen Escoffery finished fourth in 21.59.
A 1-2 finish in the 100-meter dash from sophomore Asher Jenkins and senior Jettason Rose led to two of the three-fastest times in Air Force history, as Jenkins moved up to No. 2 on the all-time standings after crossing the finish line in 10.26 and Rose used a 10.29 finish to account for the third-fastest time in program history and break the Falcons' one-year-old Senior Class Record.
Junior Jonah Hochstetler vaulted up to No. 3 in the Air Force Record Book for 800 meters with an altitude adjusted time of 1:48.66, while his raw time of 1:49.30 won the 22-runner event, reset the Meet Record and broke the Stadium Record. Sophomore Parker Hintz, who's actual 1:49.44 finish also dipped below the previous stadium and meet records, lowered his own No. 5 mark with an altitude-adjusted 1:48.80.
Julie Segroves improved her own Air Force Freshman Class Record – and No. 2 all-time mark – with a winning clearance of 4.17 meters (13'8") in the pole vault, while sophomore Morgan Glaser and freshman Eleanor Borchard lowered their Class Records – and Air Force Top 4 times – in the 400-meter hurdles. The pair finished second and third, respectively, in the meet, as Glaser dropped her time down to 60.13 (No. 3 at Air Force) and Borchard became the fourth Falcon to run sub-61 with a 60.26 finish. In addition, sophomore Barrett Boyd became the 20th pole vaulter in program history to clear 12 feet outdoors, as she recorded a personal-best height of 12'0" (3.66 meters).
Sophomore Ryan McFadden matched the fifth-fastest 200-meter time in Air Force history (24.81) and captured first-place honors in the 100-meter dash behind a wind-aided time of 11.82. Junior Brooke Coleman added third-place finish in the 100-meter dash (12.02, wind-aided), while classmate Kayla Beach equaled the program's ninth-fastest time after posting a 12.27 in a wind-legal heat. Sophomore Ella Pears accounted for the 19th-fastest 400-meter time in program history during a top-five finish of 57.19.
Back on the men's side, junior Patrick Lawson won the 5000-meter run with a Meet Record time of 14:20.90 – and debuted at No. 19 on the program's all-time standings with an altitude-adjusted 13:57.24. Senior Tanner Lindahl, in his first race after missing the majority of the year with injury, finished third in the meet and entered the Air Force Record Book at No. 24 behind an time of 14:01.11a, while sophomore David Sliwinski helped the Falcons account for three of the top five finishes after placing fifth with a raw time of 14:33.21. Freshmen Josh Shriver and Auge Martin collected top-four finishes – and debuted on the program's all-time standings – in the 3000-meter steeplechase, as Shriver finished second (9:01.65a, No. 15 at Air Force) and Martin placed fourth (9:09.71a, No. 20). Junior Ryan Hajek rounded out the Falcons' list of top-three finishes on the track with a third-place time of 52.77 in the 400-meter hurdles.
From the throwing circle, sophomore Evan Keefe collected his fourth event title of the year with a winning throw of 55.39 meters (181'9") in the discus, while senior Massimo Grisotto (sixth, 51.68m/169'7") and sophomore Mitchell Blakeslee (seventh, 60.63m/166'2") joined him in the top half of the field.
