JUNIOR YEAR | 2021-22: Debuted at No. 25 on the program’s all-time standings in the hammer throw after posting a career-best distance of 176’9” at the Fresno State Invitational…earned a top-five finish at the Aztec Invitational (172’5”, fourth)…competed in the discus throw seven times…finished second at the Front Range Open after recording a personal-best mark of 163’0”…earned two other top-five finishes in the discus…participated in the weight throw during seven meets…ranked second on the team after throwing a career-best 53’10¼” to finish fourth at the Invitational at the Peak…added a top-five finish at the Air Force Collegiate Open (52’7¼”, fifth)….also competed in the shot put, posting a personal-best 46’9½”at the Don Kirby Invitational.

SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2020-21: Competed in the weight throw during six indoor meets…recorded a personal-best throw of 49’11¾” at the Championships at the Peak meet…competed in the shot put eight times (four indoor, four outdoor)…recorded an indoor-best mark of 45’1¾” at the Wyoming Power Meet…improved distance to 48’0” during the outdoor season (Aztec Invitational)...also competed in the discus throw and hammer throw during the outdoor season.

FRESHMAN YEAR | 2019-20: Competed in the weight throw during five meets.

HIGH SCHOOL: Sterling High School...claimed the discus title at the Colorado 3A State Championships in 2019...added eighth-place finishes in the shot put and as a member of the 4x200-meter relay at that meet...also played basketball...member of teams that won the 3A state title (2017) and claimed a pair of third-place finishes in the state tournament (2018, 2019).

PERSONAL: Full name is Jace William Pittman...son of Travis and Brenda Pittman...has one sister...majoring in history...future plans include becoming a pilot or working in missile operations…serving as Athletic Officer…also served as cadre during Summer Seminar...hobbies include hunting and fishing...uncle, Lt Col Brandon Brown, is an Academy graduate and former member of the Falcons’ football team...member of Cadet Squadron 29.
