1st. Lt. Shailla Alda enters her first season as the military director of operations with Air Force women’s basketball for the 2026-27 season.
Alda returns to the Academy from Tyndall AFB, Panama City, Fla., where she served as a Contracting Officer.
A 2023 Air Force Academy graduate, Alda earned a degree in Biology. During her time at the Academy, she was also a cadet-athlete, competing on the women’s tennis team for two seasons.
Alda was promoted to 1st Lieutenant June 1, 2025 and her decorations include Air and Space Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, Air and Space Outstanding Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Air and Space Longevity Service Award with an Oak Leaf Cluster.
In her free time, you can find her on the pickleball courts or scoping out the food scene.
