HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Mehlville Senior High School...four-year member of the Honor Roll...competed at the club level for Team Central Gymnastics Academy....coached by Tom Stevens, Megan Stevens and Troy Wright...was the first senior to graduate from the club...Level 10 champion on the vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise and all-around...finished 15th on the floor at Level 10 nationals...Level 9 state champion on the floor exercise, uneven bars and all-around...was the floor, bars and all-around Level 9 regional champion...finished second on the floor and all-around at the Level 9 western championships.
PERSONAL: Full name is Kaitlin Marie Shetley...goes by Katie...daughter of Terry and Janis Shetley...has a twin sister, Laurie, who is on the diving team at the Academy...also has two older brothers, Christopher (29) and Jason (28), and one older sister, Holly (19)...majoring in biology...future plans include working as a nurse anesthetist...favorite event is the floor exercise, because 'it is a powerful event'...member of Cadet Squadron 08.
