Capt. Gregory Copeland enters his first season as the Air Force Academy men’s and women’s diving assistant coach in 2021-22.
Capt. Copeland graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2015 with a degree in Physics. While in attendance, Capt. Copeland dove for Coach Curnow.
Upon Graduation, Capt Copeland was stationed at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California to train as an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Operator. He then was stationed at Minot AFB, N.D. for 3 years as an ICBM operator, progressing to Assistant Flight Commander. Capt Copeland was then reclassified as an Operations Research Analyst and stationed at JBSA-Lackland as the Operational Assessment Team Chief for the 616 Operations Center. After two years in that role, Capt. Copeland was accepted to be the USAFA assistant dive coach.
