Women's Swimming and Diving Closes Day One Against BYU & Colorado Mesa

PROVO, Utah., - Women's swimming and diving completed day one ahead of Colorado Mesa (90.50-76.50) but behind BYU (105-62) on Friday evening at the Richards Building Pool.
Diver Chloe Perkins was responsible for the Falcons' top finish with a score of 290.45 on the 3-meter springboard. After scoring 285.00, Lulu Semakula claimed second.
The Air Force "A" relay team, swam by Eliza Black, Naomi Furman, Amber Martin, and Ryan Mills tied for second with Colorado Mesa at 1:41.58.
In the 400 IM, freshman Elizabeth Sistrunk earned a second-place finish after touching the wall at 4:27.39. Jena Nowoswiat followed right behind in third (4:29.43).
At 2:16.09, Maeve Linscott took third in the 200 breast, while Mandy Fleetwood (2:17.53) and Furman (2:17.56) placed fourth and fifth, respectively.
Lily Larson took bronze in the 500 free at 4:59.78 and was followed by freshmen Hannah Seal (5:00.44) and Sadie Hartig (5:00.54). Larson also placed highest for the Falcons in 100 free with a time of 50.51 for fourth place.
In the 100 fly, Ryan Mills locked in fourth place with her time of 56.17 and was followed by Amber Martin in fifth (56.18).
To take fifth in the 100 back, Kai-Min Tsuei clocked a time of 56.34, while Eliza Black finished behind in sixth (56.52).
Air Force will complete their duals against BYU and Colorado Mesa on Saturday January 24 at 11 a.m. MT.
