Junior | 2017-18: Posted an 11-8 overall record with a 2-3 mark in dual action … 2-2 in Big 12 dual meets … upset No. 2-ranked Scottie Parker of Lehigh at the Southern Scuffle … led the team with three major decisions … recorded two falls … sixth-place at the Northern Colorado Open … eighth-place at the Southern Scuffle.
Sophomore | 2016-17: Recorded a 2-1 record on the season … second-place at the Cowboy Open (elite) … was unable to compete for the majority of the season … will serve as an honor NCO as a junior … completed Operations Air Force at Nellis AFB, Nev.
Freshman | 2015-16: Finished the season with an overall record 4-4 and 2-2 in dual meets … earned seven dual points for the Falcons … earned three major decisions on the season … tied for fourth on the team in most major decisions … awarded the A-10 Warthog Award … completed parachutist training over the summer … completed Expeditionary Survival and Escape Training over the third block of summer … will serve as the squadron security clerk as a sophomore.
USAFA Prep: Attended the Air Force prep school where he won the NCWA championships … received the academic rope for three quarters and the athletic rope for having a PFT score over 450, all four semester.
High School: Earned three letters in wrestling … wrestled for coach Aldo Mesa at Coronado HS … runner up at the ASICS cadet nationals as a freshman in Greco Roman wrestling and fifth in the same tournament in freestyle wrestling … as a junior he earned fourth in the Greco Roman wrestling and sixth in the freestyle at the ASICS junior nationals … fourth as a sophomore at the Texas HS state championships … first as a senior at Texas HS state championships.
Personal: Member of cadet squadron 1 … son of Demetrio and Leticia Jimenez with a younger brother … majoring in civil engineering … plans to serve as a civil engineer in the Air Force … credits his father with the greatest influence on his athletic career through his influence of hard work and sacrifice … chose to come to the Academy because he is accustomed to taking the harder paths in life and knew the Academy would be both challenging and rewarding … favorite quote, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
