With a distance of 75.22 meters (246’9”), junior Texas Tanner finished fourth in the hammer throw at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on June 11 – accounting for the program’s highest NCAA finish ever in a men’s throwing event. Tanner, who became the first male thrower in 60 years to earn a podium finish for Air Force at the national meet, also accounted for Honorable Mention honors in the discus throw following a top 20 finish.
