In its final home game of the season, the Air Force volleyball team failed to snap a 30-match conference losing streak, dropping a marathon five-game match to Mountain West opponent New Mexico, 2-3 (30-27, 30-32, 28-30, 30-27, 8-15).

The two hour and fifteen minute match was the longest match of the season for Air Force. The Falcons also saw their largest crowd of the season, with attendance totaling 347.
Air Force goes to 2-18 overall and 0-12 in the league. The team plays its final two regular season matches on the road, facing nationally-ranked Colorado State on Nov. 9 and Wyoming on Nov. 10.
Falcon Notes: The Falcons had not played a five-game match this season until tonight. In fact, the last match that went five games was the third match of the season in 2000 (Sept. 4), when Air Force and Mississippi State went five games. The Falcons lost game five, 10-15. The Falcons' last five-game win was Sept. 17, 1999, when they came back from an 0-2 deficit to defeat Alabama 3-2 (3-15, 8-15, 15-11, 15-10, 19-17).
