Men's Gymnastics Prepares for Dual Meet

Vs. UC Santa Barbara and Nebraska: The Air Force Academy men's gymnastics team had a long and difficult weekend, traveling to California last Friday for a triangular meet with UC-Santa Barbara and Nebraska. Nebraska's men's team won four events, capturing the team title. Air Force placed third in the meet with 198.550 points.
Service Academy Championships: Although the Air Force men's team had strong individual performances, the Falcon's fell short in their competition against Army and Navy, placing third with a team score of 198.600 behind Army (200.650) who took first place and Navy (200.500) who placed second. Air Force did well individually with a gymnast in first place in four of the six events. C3C (So.) Aaron Jackson secured the top slot on floor exercise with a score of 8.950. C1C (Sr.) Levi Torkelson placed first on pommel horse (8.500) and parallel bars (8.450). C2C (Jr.) Stephen Sistare took first place on rings (9.100). Other Falcon performances included C1C Andrew Fisher on vault (8.850), and C3C Scott Lewis on high bar (8.350).
Upcoming: The Air Force men's team will be in action again this weekend in a dual meet against UC-Santa Barbara at the Cadet Gymnasium's West Gym, at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23 and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25.
