Falcons Place Third At Oklahoma

The Air Force men's gymnastics team placed third in its season opener with Oklahoma and Iowa. The Falcons finished with a team score of 197.450, with tournament hosts Oklahoma taking the first-place honors with a team score of 216.750 and Iowa taking second with a score of 213.400.
C2C (Jr.) Aaron Jackson placed fifth in the all around standings with a final score of 49.800. Jackson also tied for eighth on still rings with C1C (Sr.) Stephen Sistare (8.750). Team co-captain C1C James Hayes finished seventh on vault (8.900) while C2C Justin Jones took on horizontal bar (8.400). C2C William Hermann took eighth on parallel bars.
Air Force will be at home this weekend hosting the Rocky Mountain Open, Jan. 25-26. The men's team and all around competition begins at 7 p.m., Friday and includes Arizona State, Army, Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma, the Olympic Training Center and Washington. The event finals kick off at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The women's competition will begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday, and includes Illinois State and Winona State Universities. The competition will be held in the Cadet Gymnasium's West Gym.
