Falcons Suffer Tough Loss to Providence, 8-7

The Air Force lacrosse team fell to 1-3 overall with a disappointing one-point loss to Providence in their second game of the Pioneer Face-Off Classic. The Falcons fell behind in the third quarter and never recovered, losing 8-7. Matt Dudderar was selected to the all-tournament team.
Air Force opened the scoring with an unassisted goal by Dave Brown. Providence would score the next three goals to take a 3-1 lead. The Falcons would then score three straight, with two more goals by Dave Brown and a goal by team co-captain Matt Dudderar. Providence would add the final goal of the stanza, and the game was tied 4-4 at the half.
Providence would score three consecutive goals to open the second half and the Falcons would never recover. Adam Gaudinski would score his second goal of the game with just over four minutes remaining in the game to pull the Falcons to within one, but the game would end without another goal.
