Men's Gymnastics Falls To Nebraska

The Air Force men's gymnastics team dropped its final meet of the regular season against Nebraska Friday evening. The Falcons fell, 210.325 - 202.525 at the dual meet in Lincoln to mark the final competition before Air Force hosts the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships March 22-23 in the cadet Gymnasium's West Gym.
In the all-around competition, C2C (Jr.) Aaron Jackson finished third with a score of 51.200, followed by C1C (Sr.) James Hayes who placed fourth with a score of 50.450. Jackson took fifth on floor exercise (8.800), and C2C Justin Jones placed sixth (8.700). C1C Matthew Kenkel finished fourth on pommel horse (8.500), followed by Hayes who took fifth (8.300). Jackson secured the third-place slot on still rings (8.900) and C1C Stephen Sistare took fifth (8.700). Jackson was also the top Falcon finisher on vault with a 9.050, followed by Kenkel at fifth with a 9.025. Hayes tied for third on parallel bars (8.450) wand William Hermann tied for fifth (8.300). Jones tied for fourth on horizontal bar (8.450) followed by Jackson who took sixth with a score of 8.400.
Air Force gears up for its post-season as it prepares to host the MPSF Championships next weekend. The men's team and all-around competition begins Friday evening, March 22 at 7 p.m. with the universities of Oklahoma, Nebraska, Stanford, Cal Berkeley, UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis, Sacramento State, and San Jose State all in attendance. The competition continues Saturday afternoon with the men's event finals at 1 p.m., followed by the women's team, all-around and event finals at 7 p.m.
