Falcons Defeat Montana State, 6-1

U.S.A.F.A., Colo.- Air Force won five of six singles matches and swept all three doubles contests Saturday afternoon to defeat Montana State, 6-1, in the cadet Gymnasium's Indoor Tennis Courts. The Falcons improved to 5-0 this season after Saturday's victory. Air Force also defeated Nevada-Reno, 7-0, Friday afternoon.
In singles action, freshman Shannon Buck topped Federico Ueltschi, 6-2, 6-7, 7-6. Senior Eric Pittman defeated Marek Gebicki, 6-1, 6-2, at the number two singles spot and sophomore Tyler McClung downed Tejeshwara Chigateri, 6-3, 6-0. Montana State's Braden Olson defeated Martin Black at the number four spot for the only Air Force loss of the day. Senior Tyler West knocked off Jesse Carl, 7-5, 7-6, and sophomore Chris Dong defeated Jake Berriochou, 6-4, 6-2.
The Falcons are on the road next weekend and take on UC San Diego in San Diego, Feb. 15.
