Jeff Andersen Named Nisson-Emery Finalist

All Air Force Academy home and away intercollegiate athletic events will be held as scheduled during the government shutdown. Funding for these events, along with travel/logistical support will be provided by the Air Force Academy Athletic Corporation (AFAAC). Updates to this website will be significantly reduced and delayed. There will be no video streaming of home athletic events.

Air Force senior gymnast Jeff Andersen has been named one of the eight finalists for the Nissen-Emery Award, which is awarded each year to the most outstanding NCAA senior gymnast.

Other nominees for the 2004 Nissen-Emery Award are Bob Rogers (Illinois), Kevin Tan (Penn State), David Eaton (California), Jamie Houle (Ohio State), Jamie Northrup (William and Mary), Dan Gill (Stanford) and Quinn Rowell (Oklahoma).

Andersen joins former Falcon gymnasts Joel Miller (1992) and Aaron Jackson (2003) as a finalist for the award.

The award will be determined by a vote from NCAA Judges and past Nisson-Emery Award winners. The 2004 winner will be announced at a banquet prior to the NCAA Championships on Thursday, April 1, in Champaign, Ill.
