USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Matches against four teams that that played in the NCAA College Cup, including three conference champions, highlight the Air Force women's soccer 2004 fall schedule, announced today by head coach Marty Buckley. The Falcons open their fall season August 20, at home against 2003 Sun Belt Conference Champion Denver.
Air Force plays seven home games beginning August 21 and ending on October 16. The Falcons will also play home non-conference matches against Northern Colorado (Aug. 27), Idaho (Sept. 3) and Toledo (Sept. 5). Home Mountain West Conference matches will be against Wyoming (Oct. 8), Utah (Oct. 14) and BYU (Oct. 16).
The Falcons will play their lone August road match at NCAA tournament participant, Colorado (Aug. 29). In September, Air Force travels to Orlando, Fla., to take on Atlantic-Sun Conference champion Central Florida (Sept. 10) and Jacksonville (Sept. 12). A week later the Falcons head to St. Louis, Mo., to duel with Southeast Missouri (Sept. 17) and Army (Sept. 19). The Falcons also have non-conference road matches at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, on Sept. 24, and a California trip to UC Davis (Oct. 1) and UC Riverside (Oct. 3).
The MWC road portion of the schedule takes AFA to New Mexico (Oct. 10), San Diego State (Oct. 24) and UNLV (Oct. 24). The 2004 MWC Women's Soccer Championships will be held Nov. 3-6 in Provo, Utah.
