GREENWOOD, Ind., – C3C Annika Jost has posted a successful 2025 season and caps it off as the first women's soccer athlete at Air Force to be named a College Sports Communicators Academic All-American®, as released by organization officials on Wednesday morning.
"Our staff is so proud of Anni and all the well-deserved recognition she received this season," expressed head coach Laura Busby. "She is the perfect example of what it means to pursue excellence in all you do at the Air Force Academy."
Jost earned her spot on the CSC Academic All-American Third Team after serving as a vital midfielder for Air Force and maintaining the highest grade point average of her team. The Electrical and Computer Engineering major helped the Falcons to the most prosperous season in recent history with eight wins overall and six in conference play, marking Air Force's best regular season finish since 1995. The Temecula, Calif., native became just the second Falcon to earn Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year in program history, and the tenth women's athlete at the Academy to earn a conference player of the year award. In the record books, Jost now sits at sixth all-time for Air Force with her 10 goals in a single season, and eighth overall with 25 points. She also recorded the Falcons' first hat trick since 2021 after scoring a trio against San Jose State.
Busby said, "We are thrilled to have someone with her leadership qualities in our program; she is only a sophomore, so the best is yet to come!"
To be eligible for this award a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher with a minimum GPA of 3.50. They also must have played in at least 90% of their team's games as well as be a contributor on the field.
