Ben Martin Golf Tournament Scheduled For June 3rd
4/21/2004 12:00:00 AM | Men's Golf
April 21, 2004
The Ben Martin Golf Tournament was started eight years ago to the "Father of Air Force football" - Ben Martin. The tournament was started as a way for former football players to honor their coach and come back to their alma mater to enjoy good golf and fun with their fellow friends and teammates and as a way to help raise funds to support the Athletic Association and cadet athletics.
Over time, the Ben Martin has evolved and become a way to involve all former Air Force letterwinners and Air Force Academy Athletic Association supporters in helping further the pursuit of athletics for our cadet-athletes. The Ben Martin has become the premier golf event for the Air Force Academy Athletic Association and a very important fund raiser to benefit cadet athletics.
This year's tournament will be no different. We anticipate a full field of golfers who will enjoy all that The Golf Club at Bear Dance has to offer. It will be a memorable event where all supporters of Air Force athletics will gather to honor an outstanding coach and do their part to support our cadet-athletes - those that are currently building leadership with character for our nation.
