Falcons Prepare For a Second Meeting With Nebraska

Just one week after the women competed in Lincoln, the Air Force men's gymnastics team heads off for a competition with Nebraska. The Falcons and Cornhuskers will meet up on Sunday, March 13, for a 1 p.m. showdown.
Nebraska got the better of the Falcons at the season-opening Rocky Mountain Open, but they haven't faced each other since mid-January. The teams will face each other one more time this season at the end of March at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships.
Head coach Lou Burkel will be returning to his alma mater for the last time as a collegiate coach. Burkel, who will be retiring in August, earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from Nebraska and was a four-year letterwinner of the Huskers' gymnastics team.
Following the Nebraska trip, the Falcons will travel to Illinois for a pair of competitions with UIC on March 18-20 in Chicago.
