Falcons Add Three Gymnasts to 2007 Roster

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. -- The Air Force men's gymnastics team welcomes a pair of freshmen to the Academy this upcoming year, head coach Kip Simons announced. In addition, the Falcons welcome back junior Greg Stine, who has been away for two years on a mission.
Christopher Wolford (Thornville, Ohio) and Garrett Canter (Tallahassee, Fla.) will serve as the program's representatives for the Class of 2010. Coming from top programs within their respective states, both gymnasts have had stellar careers at the Junior Olympic level.
"I expect these two (freshmen) to come in and make an immediate impact in our lineup because of their veteran status within the Junior Olympic program," Simons said of his newest recruits.
Stine returns to the program following a two-year absence to complete his Mormon mission. Stine was a member of the Falcons' team during the 2003-04 seasons, collecting numerous honors. He recorded two USA Gymnastics national titles (all-around, pommel horse) and USAG All-American status in five events (all-around, floor exercise, still rings, vault and high bar).
"Greg is quite possibly the most talented gymnast that has ever come through the program here at the Academy," Simons commented. "Although I haven't had the opportunity to work with Greg yet, his club coach (Bill Foster) admits that Greg has the raw talent to be something special."
The Falcons' competitive season will get underway in January.
