Boardman, who was the Falcons' lone representative on the academic all-conference list last season, holds a 3.47 GPA in mathematics. A co-captain of the 2007 squad, Boardman improved his career-best mark on the high bar, while participating in the NCAA national qualifier on the vault.
Schonig joins the academic all-conference squad in his first eligible season with a 3.15 GPA in space operations. He recently concluded a stellar sophomore campaign that saw him finish 11th at the NCAA Championships on the still rings with a career-best score. In addition to improving his personal-best score by nearly two points from last year, Schonig earned a third-place finish on the still rings at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships.
To be considered for the academic all-conference team, student-athletes must hold a 3.0 or better grade-point-average and be at least a sophomore with one full academic year completed at the institution prior to the season that the award was received. In addition, the student-athlete must have competed in 50-percent or more of the institution's competitions.
